Are you shooting with that FM2 ?

If so, what is it you like about that camera? How does it compare to other SLR's you've used? Curious because a friend has one and an FE2 along with some others. Her husband died and I'm helping her sort out some of his equipment. Anything you can say goo

Some years ago I walked into B&H in NYC to buy a SLR. The guy behind the counter recommended a Sony 100 something or another, expensive. I bought it.

Blah pictures. Then a bought an Olympus Tough TG (I think mine is 4) for fishing and hunting trips. Great little camera, for me better than the Sony. And I use them rarely. But, yes, that’s a pretty good option. My grandfather was a photography buff, big

Gorgeous photography, as always! (You've moved me to dust off my digital SLR and macro lens.)

Let's meanwhile not forget the IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar - one of the first astronomically accurate double moonphase watches I encountered (and bought ;-D).

Absolutely. It's a holistic package. And Porsche makes a wonderful package. BUT, they have huge room for improvement.

And overall, a Porsche's reliability alone made it a winner in many many races. Frankly, in a race, reliability is so important because many cars simply don't finish due to reliability problems - especially during the 1950s to 1990s where a lot of Porsche

Enjoy the hunt!

The problem with these things is that they consume way too much fuel. A US Gallon is 3.78 liters and costs around $5.39 US dollars or around 5 Euros currently. It was as high as 6 Euros earlier. The cost to operate these cars is just too high - especially

Thanks pal!

Comparing these taken with a SLR and those above with the IP, the diff in dynamic range is only visible if you enlarge the pix to scrutinize on a desk top. For social media posting, loss in detail is negligible. Many people I know have ditched cameras (no

Amazing machines!

Your Cadillac has the same engine as the C7 Z06 right? So you're pretty darn close to your favorite Vette! My AMG Mercedes has a similar engine the the McLaren SLR (which has a true dry sump, while my AMG has a traditional oil pan). I really like the Corv

Extremely cool and congratulations your posts are always informative😁…

Having a limited experience…competitive rifle, skeet and trap in college, I don’t know much about fine firearms. None of my Omegas are safe queens. They are all practical and all get at least some use. As a photographer I would always pick a Nikon slr ove

I find that type of collecting takes the joy out

Yes, maybe 3% of mclaren f1 owners take their cars out. But as prices go up, they increasingly become stored away in a garage as trinkets to show friends. That is fine but not how I view these things. A friend just got a slr gullwing, it sits nicely on th
